Underfloor heating and cooling

Operation principle

Underfloor heating system is a complete surface heating and cooling solution for all types of buildings and floorings.

In the surface heating system, the whole floor area is the heater, due to which horizontal temperature distribution in the room is even, while the vertical temperature decreases while increasing height. Thanks to this, heat is transmitted to the body parts that need it most, such as feet and legs, while the head, which is inherently vulnerable to overheating, remains cool.

A sense of thermal comfort in rooms where heating is used is felt already at temperatures that are even 2-3°C lower than for conventional heating. This translates into the economy of the system, since lowering the temperature inside the room by 1°C is a saving of approximately 6% of thermal energy, which is a significant reduction in the operating costs of the heating system.

The economy of floor heating is also influenced by the fact that surface heating systems operate at low supply parameters (the most often used temperatures are: 45/35°C, ΔT=10 K, max. temp is 50°C), and are therefore ideally suited to operation with condensing boilers and heat pumps - currently the most economical heat sources.

Summary of qualities for surface heating

Hypoallergenic - no dust in the air. Since there is no movement in the air which would cause dust to fly around. With surface heating allows there is simply more comfort, not only for allergic, but for all of us.

Economical - gives a sense of thermal comfort at temperatures 2-3 deg. C lower in comparison to conventional heating, which translates to energy savings of approximately 10-15%.

Perfectly suited for co-operation with condensing boilers and heat pumps

Wall/Floor/Renova surface heating can also operate in cooling mode in conjunction with Tweetop heat pumps

Floor and wall mounting of heating makes it invisible which allows for maximum flexibility in interior arrangement.

Underfloor heating application area

Every type of buildings - residential, commercial, industrial and sacral.

Under any type of floor covering - tiles, carpets and hardwood. Using the floor coverage with certification for use with floor heating and following the parameters set in the draft for floor surface temperature, pipes spreading and supply system temperature are the main conditions of system application.

Floor assembly

Installation on a polystyrene foam with steel mesh. Attachment to the mesh with special clips.

Steel mesh with a cross section of 150 x 150 mm, made out of 4-6 mm diameter wire. The mesh is used to determine the spacing of the heating pipes and fittings. Pipe spacing is 150 mm or multiples . The tube is attached to the steel mesh with special plastic handles.

Installation with clamps attached to the floor polystyrene boards with raster foil coating, using special tool (system stapler).

On an insulation layer, for example polystyrene boards, we apply a foil with raster. On such prepared surface we mount pipes, anchoring them to the polystyrene using a stapler - a device equipped with clips magazines. Each press of the handle causes the stapler to fire the clamp into insulation in such a way that it catches a heat pipe from the top. Thanks to the specially developed shape it is not possible to break the clamp from insulation due to pipe operation related movement.

Installation using clamp tracks on floor raster foil covered polystyrene boards

Similarly to the previous variant we we apply a foil with raster on polystyrene insulation boards. Next we mount the clamp tracks in a cross pattern. There are 16 and 20mm diameter clamp tracks available in floor system, which can be freely cut to achieve the desired length. The heating pipe is then mounted by pressing it into profiled slots in clamping tracks. Using a clamping track allows for precise, even and easy alignment of pipes.
