Euro pallets

Pallets are intended for standardized freight transport. The pallets can withstand a higher load and hold the load slightly higher than the ground, which prevents contact with moisture and dirt. They are reusable and interchangeable. Due to the standardized dimensions, they can be easily transported by forklift and loaded on railway wagons, trucks and in standardized ISO shipping containers.

Pallets are built of wood. The area of the wooden pallet is 1 square meter. The width and length of the wooden pallet is 120 x 80 cm. This means that such a pallet can be transported together with the load through a normal entrance door, which usually measures 90 cm in width, and through an interior building door, which usually measures at least 80 cm.

Wooden pallets are suitable for the manufacture of simple and inexpensive joinery (for example: a bed or sofa).

Pallets are marked, unmarked, non-standardized, unstamped, stamped and used. Some pallets have only been used once, so they are well preserved.

A minority of wooden pallets in stock are of stronger designs with the EUR mark (Euro-pallet) and EPAL (European Pallet Association). The precisely standardized dimensions of these euro pallets are 1200 × 800 × 144 mm (length x width x height). The Euro pallet is built of wood and has at least 78 nails driven into the construction for strength. Such a euro pallet is heavier than a non-standardized one.
